Lillian Starr is a queer femme burlesque performer from Sydney. Wacky and glamorous, her shows range from the perverted traditional to the bizarre, set to musical gems.

She dazzled audiences on her recent tour of the continent, from the queer punk squat of the Schwarzer Kanal to Berlin's biggest girls's party of the Gay Pride festival, "Megadyke" in 2008 where she perormed the final number supporting the Drag King Fem Show from Paris. She kept the party up all night with shows for Fete de la Musique and primly posed for Dr Sketchy's in l'Atelier Gustave, Paris. Modelled for french photographers Emile Jouvet and Kael T. Block and performed in a fatsuit and beard at the Kunsthaus in Switzerland with The Kingpins.

In Australia, she has created and performed in shows for the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Party, the 'showcase' weekend of Gurlesque, outdoor music festival Summer Gay Day and a new residency at the queer performance venue, the Sly Fox. She has bared her boobs in the 'World Famous Speigeltent' with Lorelei and Sarina, shaken it at the Sydney Burlesque festival and Burlesque Ball, 34b, and nearly every stage that is known to paint your cheeks red.

But closest to her heart, jaw-dropping, pulse-racing, queer and bent burlesque. Served up with humour and glamour and a role-play flip at every bat of the eyelash. Perverted pinup, politically up-yours and leaving a trail of glitter with every footstep. Solo, or in a troupe, or adjacent to drag kings of butch foils, Lillian Starr squeezes out the essence of high femme onstage.

Soon to be heading on an east coast tour in September/October with those gypsy heartbreakers, Mojo Juju and the Snake Oil Merchants.
