| Mechanima born in june 2005 in Frosinone from the dust of two local bands: Angelslegion(death metal)
and Ill Will (the best hc band in town).
The first line up was composed by Andrea (vocals), Alessandro and Simone (guitars), Stefano (bass) and Fabrizio(drums),
under the name of Fortress;the sound was influenced mainly by swedish death metal and post-hc, but our strongest aim was
and still is to make passional music.
After we had parted ways with our first drummer we involved our friend Gerardo(ex - IllWill) in the project..
we decided that Mechanima ( that means war machine ) would have
been the best name to express our music. , we worked hard and we started again with more
enthusiasm and passion. After some live exhibitions we understood that
this is the right way of Mechanima.
The first wound was
inflicted....now we’re waiting for another bloodshed!
I Mechanima nascono dalle ceneri di due altri gruppi
di Frosinone : gli Angelslegion (più vicini al death metal) e gli IllWill
(storica band hc ciociara).
La prima formazione nata nel giugno del 2005 sotto il nome di Fortress vedeva
alla voce Andrea, alle chitarre Alessandro e Simone, Stefano al basso e Fabrizio alla batteria.
Da subito si comincia a suonare con la volontà di conciliare la proposta estrema
(influenzata dal death metal svedese e dal post-hc) con la necessità di esprimere passione.
dopo la dipartita consensuale del nostro batterista, abbiamo deciso che Mechanima ( che significa
macchina da guerra ) fosse il nome più adatto ad esprimere la nostra
musica. Così abbiamo coinvolto l’ex batterista nonchè fondatore degli Ill Will (il nostro
amico Gerardo),e dopo un periodo di riassestamento siamo ripartiti con maggior
entusiasmo e passione. Dopo alcune date dal vivo (e qualche acciacco di troppo ;))
stiamo per iniziare i lavori per il già troppo posticipato demo, la prima ferita sta per essere
inferta...aspettiamo il bagno di sangue!
