| VK*concerts is part of a bigger communal center in the heart of the maritime area of Brussels just outside the city centre. It is one of the biggest music clubs in Brussels and Belgium, with a capacity of 600 people. Vk* concerts started organising pop/rock concerts on regular basis since 1989 and became an important player of the alternative music scene in Belgium and abroad. Lots of big names passed through Brussels at VK* in their starting years. As such Vk* organised concerts for bands like Pavement, The Melvins, Rage Against the Machine, American Music Club, Silverchair, Consolidated, Ozric Tentacles, Helmet, Nitin Sawhney, Therapy?, Grant Lee Buffalo, The Fall, Transglobal Underground, Skunk Anansie, Blur, Three Mile Pilot, Heather Nova, Seefeel, Biosphere, Suede, The God Machine, Ice T, Hole,... Recently Vk* concerts got recognition as one of the most important music clubs in Belgium who promotes reggae music on a regular basis. Acts like Anthony B, The Gladiators, Lee Scratch Perry, Mr. Vegas, Mad Professor, Eek-A-Mouse, Wayne Wonder, Elephant Man,.. they all played at the Vk*. Vk*concerts now also invests in new electronic acts and special showcases. It books acts like Murcof, Biosphere, Supersilent, Midaircondo, ... in venues such as Planetarium, old cinemas, archeological sites, riding trains, etc.. new electronic music. Vk* concerts also works close withe venues/organisations as Recyclart, Beursschouwburg, les Halles, Belle Vue Kaffee, etc...
