Top Banner --.. Shay Johnson Bio --This is Myspace Most of America got to know Shay "Buckeey" Johnson on the second season of the popular hit show, Flavor of Love 2. Debuting with over 3.9 million viewers in its premiere episode and ending with 7.5 million by the season finale, Flavor of Love 2 became the highest rated show that was not sports related, as well as VH1's highest viewed show in the channel's history. It wasn't reality TV however, that Shay got her first taste of the entertainment industry. Being cast for music videos while running her own promotional company in her hometown of Atlanta, GA, Shay began appearing in videos such as Bubba Sparxx's Ms. New,Young Dro's Shoulder Lean featuring T.I., and Happy Hour (Jazze Pha featuring C-Lo). Shay recently appeared in Fabulous video “Baby Don’t Go” as one of the lead girls. Upon appearing on FOL 2, she also graced the cover of King Magazine in October 2006, which featured past contestants, again in June 2007 in which she was featured alone with a 4 page spread. She also gained a feature six-page spread in Smooth Magazine in early 2007. Shay appeared in hair publications such as Sophisticates' Black Hair and Metro Style Hair Magazine, along with special guest appearances on the Maury Povich Show and the Tyra Banks Show. Additionally, she has also made guest host appearances on morning radio shows such as Frank and Wanda in the Morning (V103/Atlanta), The A Team Morning Show (107.9/Atlanta), a popular sindicated afternoon show, The Wendy Williams Experience (107.5/New York), and appeared on BET’s Rap City August 2007. Rejoining the VH-1 Celebreality circuit, Shay returned to be part of Charm School, a new series hosted by comedienne Mo’Nique, with hopes of taking one of the former Flavorettes and making her Charm School Queen, winning $50,000 by the end of the series. With a finale record closing of 4.1 million viewers, Charm School became VH-1's third highest rated show amongst 18-49 year old viewers and Shay won the show’s greatest prize: lessons about trust, personal responsibility and belief in self. Shay continues to practice these lessons by evolving into an actress, as well as entrepreneur, hosting events throughout the US, appeaing on major radio stations, and occasionally filling in for Radio Jocs.
