| New York's 137 was originally forged in 1997 by vocalist / bass player Keith Baughman in theremote woodlands of Northern Michigan. A metal concoction consisting mainly of Sludge, Doomand a touch of Death became the eventual result. 137 has since issued a 5 track EP entitled ”Product Of The Environment,” a 4 track EP“Force Controlled Culture,” as well as numerous other compilations including a 7” split vinylrelease with Cincinnati’s Elusive Travel. Since recording “Force Controlled Culture” 137, now consisting of Keith along with Drew Close on drums and guitarist James Alexander, haspartnered with producer and label manager Doug White of Watchmen Records under a non-exclusivedeal in which both parties hope to elevate the band’s success by signing to a label withstrong distribution ability.
