strength. Their style belongs to the "ethno - electro - jazz" scene but
Post Image' s music has a unique warmth and sensuality, which has evolved
over the last 19 years.
Originating from Bordeaux (France), they frequently explore and filter through
various musical frontiers. Over the years they have worked hard at
creating the right tension between precision and passion. Their
compositions are colourful, with a jazzy sound that is unmistakeably
current. Post Image have positioned themselves at the crossroads of
musical genres; the nomadic, ethnic sound rooted in the jazz groove and
flavoured by pulsating electro.
Their creations are always played with the same spontaneity and fervour and the arrangements reveal a subtle art linking modern tones and atmosphères... the audience is then taken on a journey full of freshness, energy and emotion. Depuis sa création en 1987, Post Image a eu l'occasion de partager la scène avec quelques uns des plus grands musiciens (Miles Davis, Tony Williams, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, John Mac Laughlin, Steve Coleman, Joe Zawinul Syndicate, Trilok Gurtu, Billy Cobham, Magma, Dollar Brand, Jan Garbarek, Peter Erskine, Miroslav Vitous), le groupe Post Image poursuit son évolution en distillant, avec chaleur et convivialité, une musique s'inscrivant dans une mouvance « ethno-électro-jazz ».Explorateur des frontières musicales, Post Image se place à la croisée de plusieurs ambiances musicales : le son nomade de l'ethno, le groove et le feeling d'un jazz bien ancré dans ses racines et la pulsation de l'electro.
