| Setarana is a name created by Vaala Ghandchi, which will become synonymous in your mind with the words energy, groove and innovation. Since the age of 15, Vaala has been writing and recording music, and continues to blend his wide range of influences to create sounds that uplift the senses and present many surprising twists and turns on the way. Vaala, who is Persian, was born in London in 1980 and moved to Dundee, Scotland when he was ten months old. His first musical encounter was at the age of eight where he took up the violin. However after many years, he realised that the instrument was not for him and moved on. Throughout the course of the next 10 years, Vaala developed his musical ability to the point where he could play a variety of instruments and also write in many musical styles. As his influences include all kinds of styles, his music cannot be categorized by one genre, but perhaps a mixture of many, which he has grown up with over the years.
