| .. DJ, radio/producent, remixer. His professional career started from…orchestra, playing clarinet and saxophone for over eight years. In late ninety’s he begun his first music production and composed a few tunes. However, in 2002, he created remix of dance anthem Donna Summer – I Feel Love, which brought him a big success in international DJ’s world. The remix was played by BBC Radio1 and appeared as the third in Floorfillers chart in the Seb Fontaine’s radio show. For the next five weeks Seb played the track and even more it initiated the broadcast from Homelands 2002. The remix became popular between the international DJ’s. Luke Brancachio wrote in the British DJ Magazine: "Serious fat booty action from Warsaw with this rework for the mother of all club anthems. Using the acapella of Fore Most Poets’ "Moonraker" and cutting and pasting Ms Summer’s "I Feel Love" underneath it, we get a rather ruff but extremely effective dark floor belter that rocks hard and nasty, like. Don’t have a clue whether or not this will ever see the light of day but definitely worth hunting down. Nice." DJ mag, no14/vol3 4-17 may 2002 In the year 2002and 2003 Hywel made many “live” recordings. Desyn Masiello used one of them for his official demo-mix for the Bedrock. At the same time, Hywel’s track “Mocarella” appeared on the music sampler ”Miller Music Tour” and was widely played in the best clubs in Poland. In the year 2003 Hywel worked on the remix of Motocraft ” When Time Will Come” for Spot on Records, which was played even by John Digweed. In 2004 he worked for Pete Gooding and made remix of track “Drax & Gooding – Harder”, which is belong to Steve Lawler label. Since May 2003 he has been a creator and producer of the radio show ”PlayMix” for one of the biggest Polish radio station - Radiostacja. The show presents newest world tracks and promotes Polish and international DJs in the best radio time: Friday night from 8pm to 10pm. From 1st October 2005 the show was moved to bigger radio station, polish national radio: “Radio BIS” and was broadcasted on whole Poland area and worldwide as a streaming broadcast. At the same time, Hywel started to work with DJ Magazine. As a one of the few in the world he gets rights to publish Hype Chart list in his radio show. In the beginning of 2006 the show wins award “Pure Radio” for best dance music radio show in Poland. There was a lots of international guest in this show like: Anthony Pappa, Greg Vickers, Pete Gooding, Yousef, Funkagenda and many more. All the time, Hywel continuously works on his own tracks, remixes and re-edits. Totaly Hywel made over 200 - 2 hours shows in his radio career. Consider his international contacts, he receives a lot of unrealised stuff, which gives people freshest music during his sets. In the beginning of 2008 Hywel and his friend Simon.S runs their own record label: “Dirty Sky Digital”. The firsts realises will be available soon! Watch out! |
