NEW SINGLE - 'ZINDA HOON' DEBUT MUSIC VIDEO Photography by Andy Willis Navin is a talented singer, songwriter and composer. His main strength is his versatility to perform English, Hindi andPunjabi songs from a variety of genres. His live performances utilise these abilities to appeal to the widest range ofaudience. His first break came on his 19th Birthday when he represented the UK in an exclusive World Series of Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pafilmed in Dubai. This gave him the opportunity to showcase his talent to stalwart figures in the Indian music industry, suchas Ghulam Ali, Zakhir Hussain, Jagjit Singh, O.P. Nayyar and Shaan, as well as presenting his singing talent to a worldwidetelevision audience. Winning the BBC Asian Network's Unsung 2005 competition was one of Navin's proudest moments. He performed live at theprestigious Birmingham Symphony Hall along with some of the biggest artists in Asian music including Gurdaas Maan, Jazzy B,Stereo Nation and the Rishi Rich Project. After his performance of Feel by Robbie Williams, the judges, which included RishiRich, Nyrone, Adil Ray, Shin, and Mona Singh, declared Navin the winner of the competition. He also won the audiencesfavourite award as voted by thousands of BBC Asian Network listeners. Now that Navin has graduated from University, he is spending time writing and composing his debut solo album, which includesa mixture of different influences and genres of music. |
