| I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 Soundscape Records has established itself as a cornerstone of Malaysia’s labels and has become a force in its own right in helping to direct increasing attention to local artists through projects like indie album releases and showcases, outdoor festivals, creative arts bazaar and etc. Soundscape Records is a way for tire-less music devotees to present some of what they believe to be the best of indie music and support the local scene while helping contribute to the global music scene. Our ultimate aim is to create a platform for our artists so that they can continue to make more music as well as create opportunities whereby they can reach a wider audience that will appreciate their music and art. For one month, the band stayed at Rockers Village in the outskirts of Beijing where underground musicians lived like farmers and dedicated themselves to their socio-political songs. The Malaysians tried to blend in, looking for gigs in pubs and bars, performing illegally without license, all the while desperate to make an impression and at the same time adapt to the alien environment. The movie also looks at how this devastating "baptism of fire" became a seminal point in the development of the Malaysian Chinese independent music scene.
