About Me |

KappaDee (aka Mr. Kappa) is from Thessaloniki, Greece. He started his musical reseach at the age of 14 collecting breakbeat, jungle, punk, and hip hop audio tapes and records. He started DJing at the age of 17 in local bars, organizing jungle and hip hop events. In the middle of his 19th year, he moved to Italy without stoping his musical research. He was interested in sound technology, music synthesis and production. In the begining of 2002, met Morphosis, a talented techno dj-producer -one of the morphinerecords label founders- with whom he made his first demo, and Ubi-D, a Venetian drum n bass Dj-producer and founder of the Dubadelica label, with whom he started his colaboration in 2003. He made a few colaborations with Italian and Greek video artists, composing soundtracks for short films. He followed seminars in architectonic acoustics, general acoustics, acoustic properties of the materials, room acoustics simulation software, sound introducing and music production, new music technologies, audio production, composition and mixing seminars. He also worked occasionally as a sound engineer in Greece. For the past few years he is in continuous colaboration with Apostolos Siopis and Prophet Of Noise.
