For this Project, Julio traveled to New York City to record the tracks that make up this new album. He was looking to capture a certain sound on Guitars and Drums, “…and it was there that I really found it!” states the singer/ songwriter from Cali, Colombia.After practically touring all of Colombia, it was clear that he wanted to release new material for his fans. His two previous albums and his frequent contact with the public have prepared him to present this impressive third body of work.In “NO TENGAS MAS PRISA” (Don’t Be In Such a Hurry), JULIO NAVA invites us to enjoy more time in the company of those we love and care about. It’s also a calling to put the brakes on the rush and the hurry our day- to-day routine puts on us so that we may see the wonderful things that surround us each day. “NO TENGAS MAS PRISA” (Don’t Be In Such a Hurry) is also an invitation to live more intensely and yet with more calm in our daily lives. Many times, the pace of life in our cities and towns doesn’t allow for us to have time to be with our friends and those we love.
For “NO TENGAS MAS PRISA” (Don’t Be In Such a Hurry), Julio Nava recorded at Soundscribe Studios in New York City (website: http://www.soundscribemusic.com). Juan Pablo Mantilla produced and arranged the new tracks in "NO TENGAS MAS PRISA" (Don't Be In Such a Hurry). Lawrence Manchester, who has worked with Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Diana Krall, Joe Cocker, and many others, was in charge of the mix. “No Tengas Mas Prisa” (Don’t Be In Such a Hurry) was mastered by Avatar Studios' Fred Kevorkian, who has worked with The White Stripes, Dave Matthews Band, Iggy Pop, Cassandra Wilson, and others.“NO TENGAS MAS PRISA” (Don’t Be In Such a Hurry) contains 12 awesome tracks plus 3 Bonus Tracks. The songs are filled with intensity, love, energy, and humor. They make this body of work quite an eclectic mix with the unique style we’ve come to know and expect from JULIO NAVA.NO TENGAS MAS PRISA (Don’t Be In Such a Hurry) will be, without a doubt, the album that will open doors internationally for Julio Nava and will place him as one of the most interesting Latin American artists to be discovered.“NO TENGAS MAS PRISA” es el nombre del tan esperado tercer álbum del artista Colombiano JULIO NAVA y para este regreso JULIO viajo a la ciudad de New York a grabar las canciones que conforman su nuevo álbum y a buscar específicamente el sonido de guitarras y batería que tenia en la cabeza. “Y fue allí donde realmente lo encontré” afirma el artista JULIO NAVA.Después de girar prácticamente por toda Colombia tenía claro, que canciones quería presentar a su público, sus 2 álbumes anteriores y la gran cantidad de presentaciones en vivo lo prepararon para enfrentar el tan decisivo tercer álbum.“NO TENGAS MAS PRISA” es un álbum que JULIO NAVA llamo así porque invita a disfrutar de mas momentos en compañía de las personas que queremos, del grupo de amigos que tenemos y una forma de frenar la prisa que día a día nos impide ver las cosas maravillosas que nos rodean.

La produccion y los arreglos de los nuevos temas en "NO TENGAS MAS PRISA" fueron realizados por Juan Pablo Mantilla. La mezcla de “NO TENGAS MAS PRISA” estuvo a cargo del ingeniero Lawrence Manchester quien ha trabajado para artistas tan importantes como Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Diana Krall y Joe Cocker entre muchos más.
