| EURICKA IS NEW ORLEANS FIRST FEMALE R&B/HIP-HOP SOLO ARTIST to land strong on the industry map. She is the originator of the unique sound of R & B BOUNCE MUSIC.
Growing up in the Calliope Housing Projects is a far cry from where Euricka is now, having five siblings, a single mother and an ordained minister grandmother, kept an interesting balance in her life. As a young girl singing in the church, Euricka always had a love for music and performance, "I always wanted to entertain and make people happy." she says, and although she was raised by a firm hand, she was also raised to be strong. Her patchy background has given her an even more special talent, which allows her to "appreciate peoples lives and where they come from." One of her most influential musical models goes by the name of none other than Tina Turner. "I love her music, but I really love her more as a person. I appreciate how she lived and how she kept it real."
Euricka's stage presence and overall performance skills will definitely be a key to her longevity. She has performed internationally and commanded the stage at some of the hottest music venues around. Performing annually at the Essence Music Festival and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival has earned her the title "R&B BOUNCE DIVA" by many enthused fans. Most recently in support for our troops headed to Iraq, Euricka's farewell performance in Forthood/Texas left the crowd in cheers. Her performance of the National Anthem at one of the Saints Home Games on NFL Sunday also showcased her great talents. EURICKA's first South Florida performance at SOBE LIVE gave Miami just a taste of the R & B Diva. Her followup opening performance for Avante and 112 at CLUB 5th on South Beach definitely gained EURICKA more admires of her music.
Certainly, this Southern girl is excited about every good fortune that hard work has created for her burgeoning music career. Her first song and video was released in 2006, along with heavy rotation on radio stations and music video shows around the country.
With her talent, moves and stature. There are many pleasant surprises in store for Euricka and her growing fan base. Recognizing that her fans represent a cross section of tastes, the musical flavor Euricka offers is much like a good pot of Gumbo combining a little bit of R&B, soul, bounce, hip-hop and pop-well blended and balanced for a style that is uniquely her own. Her amazing figure also secured a classy Fall and Winter fashion insert in a Playboy Issue. Euricka stays as real as "Ida Mae".
A writer, painter, dancer and model, Euricka is the girl who prides herself on being the product of a multitude of musical and artistic influences. Having written and co-written numerous tracks, her talent just runs deeper and deeper. Euricka's talent is only limited by her interest, not her abilities. |
