| L'histoire commence en 1983. Un mauvais garçon, mal rasé et habillé de cuir des pieds à la tête, compositeur, bouleverse la scène pop française avec "Cargo", un premier titre tapageur. Le jeune français signe ensuite avec EMI pour un contrat International, étant le premier frenchy à être logé à Londres par la maison de disque. Jean-Baptiste Mondino, signe le premier clip, qui illustre justement Cargo de Nuit, avec violence et obscurité, tout en noir et blanc. Ce clip est le premier clip français à avoir été diffusé sur MTV en 1984. Roger Daltrey, le chanteur des "Who" va même jusqu'à reprendre la chanson. "Les Nouveaux Seigneurs", son premier album sort dans les bacs, proposant une ambiance sombre et tourmentée. Lors des quatre années suivantes, plus personne n'entendra parler d'Axel, silence radio, il s'isole pour composer son nouvel opus "Sentinelles", qui sort en 1990, une deuxième livraison, dont est extrait le célèbre "Éteins la Lumière". Le succès est de mise et Axel repart sur les routes, accumulant concerts et festivals. Mais Axel Bauer se retire une autre fois, pour revenir cette fois-ci, sept ans plus tard avec "simple Mortel" son album le plus personnel, violent et esotérique. le single "laisse venir" remporte un petit succès mais les ventes restent confidentielles. "Personne n'est parafait" dont est issu le duo avec Zazie "à ma place"et le single titre de l'album sort en 2001, cette fois l'album est disque d'or avec 170 000 albums vendus et le single "À ma place" se vend à 800.000 exemplaires, Axel rallume la lumière. En 2003, le premier best of de l'artiste sort, intitulé "La Désintégrale". 2006 est l'année de son retour avec ce nouvel album Rock/pop "Bad cowboy" avec Daniel Presley (Cali, Luke, Faith no more) à la réalisation.----------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------- Axel Bauer's carrier starts in 1983 with a world wide hit called "Cargo". Soon after, the young man signs a contract with EMI england, first french artist to be signed by a internationnal record label. Roger Daltrey from the "who" covers "Cargo" as his first single in the states. Axel Bauer's first album "les nouveaux seigneurs" is out 1987, produced by Howard Gray (Scritti Politti, Simple Minds) and Dave Bascomb (Ters for fear) it is mixed by a young engeneer called Mark "Spike" Stent who's soon gonna one of the top of the world's most demanded engeneer-mixer. The ambiance of the album is dark and tourmented, the album is loved by the critics but doesn't get a big success. "sentinelle" the second album, with the rockin' hit "éteins la lumière" big success in France, brings Axel Bauer back into the light. A big tour starts for two years. His third album "Simple Mortel" will be out seven years after. Probably his best album so far, personnal and wild. Axel Bauer goes back on tour. 2001, The album "Personne n'est parfait" will give him two big hits, the title song of the album and the duet "À ma place" with Zazie. 2003, the first best of is out called "la désintégrale".
