Having grown up in "Motown", it was inevitable that this developing musical prodigy would turn towards one of the things Detroit is famous for: its legendary musicians. Gaining much influence from singing/songwriting greats such as Smokie Robinson and Stevie Wonder (also Detroit natives), Anesha picked up the craft effortlessly and has excelled tremendously ever since. Polished as a performer and advanced as an arranger and writer, Anesha, to say the least, is well beyond her years in talent and music industry experience. Her background and love for singing was birthed in a common place: the church. Singing solo's at what is now one of Detroit's mega Ministries; Greater Grace, Anesha found herself as an artist. From the age of 6 years old she was performing before audiences of more then 1000… standing on a chair so she could be seen!! From then until now, her vocal ability has remained nothing less then jaw-dropping! Progressing through her teenage years, she was inspired by many great gospel artist (who are Detroit natives) such as The Winans, The Clark Sisters and Fred Hammond. At the age of 14, Anesha and her sister (now writing partner) began working with Michael Winans Jr. in Detroit. This small connection led to a life changing connection; meeting and auditioning for Rodney Jerkins "Darkchild". Being floored by her voice and ability to arrange (as well as having perfect pitch), he signed her as a songwriter on the spot! Along with her current discography (below), Anesha has been blessed to work with many other prominent figures in the music industry in the facility of background arranger and vocal producer. Being featured on the 2008 BMI Sampler, Anesha, now 19, is focusing on following her lifelong dream: joining the ranks of legendary singer/songwriter/producers from Detroit!
