About Me
THIS IS THE BAND YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO EXPERIENCE! The Satellites Of Love (SOL) - Paula (bass, vox), Tuulia (guitar) and Anna (keyboards, vox) - started out in Helsinki, Finland in January 2003 doodling with their freshly composed folk, country and Beatlesque pop songs and premiering succesfully on the stage of Helsinki's legendary Semifinal club. A few days later, nevertheless, they packed their fortune â€œa few rags and a radioâ€ (like their Bukowski quoting song "Gandhi" puts it) and Flew Away to the Iberian Peninsula where they and their music really grew tightly together. The drummers had always come and gone but the music started to have more colour, the lyrics more profoundness and the sound a heavier edge. The band attracted fans all over Barcelona where they psyche-rocked the house in places like Apolo [2], Be Good, Capsa, Zac and the notorious rock'n'roll club Magic... Eventually the Finnish femmes met their Drummer of Love, Pau (=Peace) in the mystical underworld of Barcelonian Metro. Finally the four of them could launch a joint crusade for authentically passionate music and hilarious times, never forgetting to spread out the Cosmological word (sights and sounds) of Love and self-understanding to all those in need - and indeed those without! The Satellites of Love's music is a peculiar mixture of psychedelic, even progressive rock, beautiful harmonies, multicolour melodies and heavy distortion with double bass drum beating like thunder, making them sound and look like aurora borealis on fireworks! A pleasurable experience you can't deny your eyes and ears, it might just blow you to an other orbit! The journey has just begun so don't miss the Train, follow the law of Love!
