.. un progetto musicale nato agli inizi del 2004.
L'idea di fondo .. semplice: chitarra e voce, basso e batteria. Suono ruvido ed essenziale. Ritmi potenti e ossessivi. Testi e musiche originali in italiano. Niente cover se non per divertirsi a stravolgerle. I riferimenti (vaghi) sono Interpol, Pixies, CSI...
Nel novembre 2004 i Citizen Kane hanno realizzato il primo cd autoprodotto "Tutte le parole che ogni giorno perdo" con 6 brani originali e una cover dei Pavement (stravolta).
Nel marzo 2005 il primo concerto di presentazione del CD al locale Rashomon di Roma, a cui sono seguite esibizioni live in locali e centri sociali della capitale (Circolo degli artisti, Locanda Atlantide, Rashomon, La Strada...).
Nel dicembre 2005 i Citizen Kane hanno registrato il secondo EP autoprodotto "Fortezze" con 5 brani nuovi. Il singolo "Il Giardino dei rimorsi" .. in uscita a gennaio 2007 per la nomadism records nella compilation "United forces of Phoenix 2" Citizen Kane band was born at the beginning of 2004 in Rome, Italy. The first ep "Tutte le parole che ogni giorno perdo" with 7 songs has been produced on december 2004. Citizen Kane plays indie rock music in italian language. We performed in several clubs and social centres in Rome. On december 2005 we self-produced a new ep "Fortezze". The single "Il giardino dei rimorsi" has been played by several indipendent radios. |
