NOIZ ART & MUSIC PRODUCTIONS: Introductory

It all started back in 1992, when a new-fangled, fervent DJ started spinning some disks under the name of DJ NOIZ, releasing a couple of albums with the Deadlock crew and testing out his skills, wits and will to stay on board and promote what used to be a poorly-supported music scene on the urban surroundings of Piraeus- the city he was born in- and those of Athens.
Under this aspect, things have not changed much since.

After fifteen years of performing and promoting the hip-hop, funk and soul music, always keeping an open mind to experimental sounds and grooves, things have only gotten more solid and organized.
For the records, let’s try to take it from the start, noting some of the highlights:
• 2001: With the cooperation of Sony Music, the new album “Iron Flag” by Wu-Tang Clan and “Stoned Raiders” by Cypress Hill was presented. It should be noted that the particular presentation took place before the official release of the albums.
• 2002: Official showcase of unreleased tracks and video projections, released by one of the most underground record labels, Def Jux.
• On the same year, one of the most popular artists from the U.K hip-hop scene, Roots Manuva was presented along with Big Dadda.
• Not to be left out, is the presentation of Amon Tobin’s album “Out From Out Where” in collaboration with Ninja Tune.
• 2003: support act for the 2nd appearance of Public Enemy in Greece (along with the Deadlock Crew)
• Sound engineering for one of the most prevalent motorcycle magazines in GR (0-300) and broadcasting live through the radio brought DJ NOIZ in contact with a wider audience, denoting the need for evolution.

Noiz Productions, the unquestionable pioneer of this new twist towards Hip-hop growth in Greece will continue leading the scene along with the ever-increasing number of its supporters, towards one clear ..
