About Me

__________________________________________________
The mixtape game has in the last few years become the most dynamic and necessary component within the Hip Hop genre of music. The mixtape scene which originally began in New York has spread all over the country creating its own community and instilling itself as the most important step in generating the buzz for a hip hop artist and being recognized. The mixtape game has turned DJs into overnight celebrities and household names within relatively short periods of time through their ability to bring the public the hottest and most exclusive music. Although the public sees and recognizes the DJ as the gatekeepers to the "heat," the people who are responsible for the DJs and the movement of their mixtapes in the street, the constant and abundant presence on the internet and a hood near you are relatively unseen, until now. Enter, The Redchild and Heavy Movement.
Born and raised in the heart of the south Bronx The Red Child lived the life of most disadvantaged kids growing up in the streets. With 7 siblings, The Redchild learned early on that making a dollar every which way you can was the first steps to entrepreneurship. Whether it be packing bags and your local supermarket, or pumping gas at a gas station, "money on mind" was the rule that he lived by. At the tender age of 10, The Redchild found his first real job working for a Korea man called Trues. Not only did The Redchild find his first real job, he also witnessed the death and robbery of his first real boss, a lesson he would carry with him for the rest of his life.
In 1991, The Red Child took his "money on my mind" mentality and by chance, found a new market to get his hustle on. With the spirit of an entrepreneur, Redchild had finally found a market where he could be his own boss, make his own rules and control his own destiny. After spending time in and out of jail and living the fast life for nearly a decade, in 2002 The Redchild decided to put it all behind him and resign from the streets, a close friend of The Redchild..s careers, including but not limited to DJ Famous, Heatmakers (Rasonist), Mysonne,Cory Gunz only to name a few, recently The Redchild decided that the timing was perfect to utilize not only the relationship he has made over the years through the mixtape game but to follow his entrepreneurial spirit by forging his own Entertainment Management Company called "Heavy Movement Management." With his first artist named "S-One" bubbling in the streets and making his name known throughout the streets of New York and beyond, The Redchild embodies the phrase "real people do real things" to a fault, the spirit, heart, passion and focus of a champion, The Redchild embodies the nature of a natural born hustler turned "gatekeeper" turned music mogul making him and Heavy Movement Management a Player to Watch in 2007.
