Mirjana( pronounced Meer-ya-na) has performed on stages from America to Europe. Her passion for the Arts and performing arts has lead her on a multi-faceted journey, be it as a dancer, classical vocalist and opera singer, teacher, artistic coordinator, director and creator of show concepts. Currently she just finished her contract with CIRQUE DU SOLEIL as one of the two featured vocalists in "Mystère" at the Treasure Island Casino in LAS VEGAS. Back in Montreal, this upcoming year she will be teaching and creating a few speacial projects (Multi-media show, CD...).Mirjana graduated from Concordia University ECT and perfected her direction skills with several renowned artistic directors, working first with Daniel Helfgot who instilled in her the passion to learn more about direction ... Just prior to joining CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, she was a professor in the performing arts at VANIER COLLEGE in Montreal, all the while continuing to appear in a few performances on the local scene. Mirjana has performed with some of the most notable musicians and singers worldwide. A few of her Roma (gypsy)band members in Montreal were nominated for a Canadian Juno award (similar to an American Grammy). She performs fluently in English, French, Serbian, Romani, Russian,Spanish and Italian. Mirjana has a wide variety of musical taste, ranging from Classical, Opera, Roma (gypsy), Latin, Ethnic, Jazz... Awarded prizes to Mirjana were from The Charles-Emile-Gadbois foundation and the International Czech and Slovak Music competition. SONG CURRENTLY ON MUSIC PLAYER is from many years back from the Montreal based group KATJAR featuring Mirjana on vocals, MARTIN ST-PIERRE on violin (view in my friends section below) and BERNARD EPAUD on guitar...
