| Born on his grandmothers bed in the Bayfarm Villa's apartment complex in
the Waterhouse, Kingston 11 in Jamaica. Shades Blaque is no stranger to
the hard life of growing up without much and struggle to maintain in a
world where its every man for himself. Didn't really know his father but he did meet him when he was 9, then about 3 weeks later he was dead. From what he's been told, his father was a pretty good EMCEE who went by the alias "Machine Gun Thompson". Shadez Blaque grew up watching the
political turmoil of his country where killing was a hobby and the ones u
looked up to was the ones toting guns and living lawless. His only joy was
to watch as his uncle Bracco B and Lenky rock the Mic in the Rural
village of Glengoffe, St. Catherine where his family moved to when the
violence got too hectic to safely live in Kingston. His mother (Baby
"G") left him under guardianship of his grandfather (Chinie man) while
she went to America to make a better way for herself and family. At age
13 Shades Blaque was reunited with his mother in Ft. lauderdale, Fl and
started adapting to the American way. Lot of conflicts surrounded his
up bringing at that time being an only child (a sister was born later) he had to hold his own. No big brother or sister to run to when the shit hit the fan he had to solve his problems on his own whether it was using his fist or sneaking wit da chrome. He quickly made a name for himself on the Lauderdale streets doing what he had to do to get what he needed. Everything wasn't all bad but he had more against him than most. Would talk about it but some stories are better off left untold(listen to da music). If u know me, u know me! If u don't? get to know me! you'll figure out I'm far from phony. Blaque has a flow that demands recognition/and a swagger so smooth it defys recognition/met up wit Da Griot & decided to go get it/now its great time for GREATMINDS to complete this mission..
