"Liberated, Captivated," the first track, is a sludgy and noisy tune that, when paired with the scratchy screaming of Graham, sounds influenced by THE RISE, or REFUSED if you will. Following this, the slightly more melodic "What Endures" starts off with wailing vocals and a musical sound not unlike another Swedish band, BLINDSIDE. Perhaps BLINDSIDE is the better overall comparison as the music on DEN U MA's self-titled debut is quite the mix of heavy alternative and screamy rock."
