| ENGLISH Kyle’s Dancing Method was born in April 2oo3 in South East of France. At that time, the band was called No Recess. After having done numerous live shows, the band started quite rapidly on their first recording session during summer 2oo4, and in November, released their first four-track Ep entitled "Invisible Fist", followed a few months later by "What A Beautiful Slum" (second five-track Ep, recorded in the late of 2oo5 and out on January 16th, 2oo6), in collaboration with Laurent Nafissi (Dyonisos, Uncommonmenfrommars, Minimum Serious, Mystic Revelation of Rastafari, Rhapsody...) 2oo8 is a year of changes including: - a new band name: No Recess becomes Kyle’s Dancing Method. - a new line-up: Freddy replaces Lise as bass player. - a new demo: eight new songs (recorded, mixed and mastered at the NSR Studio by Laurent Nafissi) which demonstrate a steady and mature evolution reflecting the band's state of mind. Kyle’s Dancing Method does not stick stubbornly to a precise register, along with which it appeals to an audience with varied musical tastes and earns itself its own style. Compositions reflect both introspective and committed feelings. Themes are just as often serious as they are light-hearted. The band plays a "hybrid rock", reveals a personality full of energy and authenticity. FRENCH Kyle’s Dancing Method voit le jour en avril 2oo3 dans le sud-est de la France et s’appellera d’abord No Recess. Après de nombreuses dates et en un court laps de temps, le groupe rentre en studio durant l'été 2oo4, enregistre puis sort en novembre son premier maxi 4 titres "Invisible Fist" suivi de "What A Beautiful Slum" (2ème maxi 5 titres, sorti le 20 Janvier 2006) réalisé en collaboration avec Laurent Nafissi (Dyonisos, Uncommonmenfrommars, Minimum Serious, Mystic Revelation of Rastafari, Rhapsody...) Durant ces dernières années, les concerts se multiplient et le groupe a l’occasion de partager la scène avec des groupes tels que AqME, Burning Heads, Wünjo, Les Caméléons, Pierpoljak et The Commitments. Au fil des concerts et de rencontres diverses, Kyle’s Dancing Method se construit, mûrit, assimile ses influences, se remet en question, effectue des choix et de ce fait évolue... 2oo8 est résolument une nouvelle année avec - un nouveau nom: No Recess devient Kyle’s Dancing Method. - un nouveau line-up: Freddy remplace désormais Lise à la basse. - une nouvelle démo de 8 titres dont 2 titres acoustiques (enregistrée, mixée et masterisée par Laurent Nafissi au NSR Studio). Kyle’s Dancing Method ne s’enferme pas dans un registre précis. Les compositions aux textes introspectifs et engagés sont chantées en anglais. Les thèmes peuvent être aussi bien graves que légers. Le groupe produit un rock "hybride", énergique et authentique, avec lequel il pose ses marques, touche un public aux références musicales variées et se forge un style qui lui est propre. |
