| Dark Skys came out of three friends in 2003 with an interest in listening to music. Real music. Rock music. With an interest to play, Erik Raneo got a guitar, Chris Walkley his bass, and Tony Spaulding brought his drumset. The three took what skill they could scrounge together, little to none in the beginning, and started playing any and all songs they could get their fingers on. The band learned a handful of X-Mas Carols to perform at the annual Harwichport Christmas Stroll. Violinist Jeff Strome was brought into the picture as the second guitarist because of his musical background. With a virtuoso on guitar, the band found new inspiration in taking their music to the next level. After learning a number of songs by Greenday, Lit, and Sum41, the band eventually enlisted Joe Malone as the vocalist during the summer of '04.Since the beginning of summer 2007, Dark Skys has changed their name, lost a drummer, gained a drummer, lost a drummer again, and regained an old drummer. playing an assorment of shows last summer and more to come, Blind Drive is now coming together to make a great sound. Losing drummer Dan Colasanto looked Grim for the band, but they quickly regained their composure and asked Tony Spaulding to be their drummer once again at the start of 2008. Blind Drive is going back into the studio to with recordin' man Michael Raneo to record two new songs for a project Michael Is working on. | |
