| My journey in music begins when I started playing drums in 1969 after I moved to NYC. I went to Argentina in 1979-1981 where I met some music greats.(Mercedes Sosa, Leon Gieco, Alberto Espinetta, Eduardo Falu). I auditioned for the Plasmatics in 1981. I had just returned from Argentina and had three days to learn three songs. I did not get the gig but it sure was fun playing with them. In 1985 Jerry Delmonico and I started a band called Harbinger. We gigged around New York playing The Right Track Inn, Februarys, CBGB to name a few. In 1989 I answered a Village Voice ad put out by the infamous R. B. Korbet (of King Missle/Even Worse) Donna Damage (of No Thanks/Bad Tuna Experience, also a bit infamous) and Jaime (of No Thanks) who were auditioning drummers for their project Bubba Zanetti. Andy Malm of the Reverb MotherF*ckers whom played drums for Bubba Zanetti became a flake and stopped showing up for stuff so that's when they found me. Unfortunately, I broke my hand and Andy ended up playing the Tompkins Square Arts Festival in the East Village, NYC 1990 as Bubba Zanetti. I was the fabulous band assistant at Coyote Recording Studios in Brooklyn NYC in between NAVIGATOR rehearsals. Coyote Recording Studios patrons also included: The Ramones, Dictators, Raging Slab, Cop shoot Cop, Angle Rot, Mojo Dixon, Karen Black, They Might Be Giants, to name a few, so working there was always interesting. Navigator gigged around NYC a few years and recorded 3 demos that now is the LP "Zargon". Donna Damage left the band in 1993 and moved to S.F. to drop out a while and become a raver. I joined her some time later and became a raver myself. You can hear MP3s by NAVIGATOR @ www.myspace.com/donnadamage. In 2005, Donna and I started the No Thanks/Navigator diy label Mr Modoreefer Records. After a year of remastering all of the 2 bands material off of really bad cassette copies (we could not track down the masters) we have released all but a live Navigator show and a few other goodies.
