| Finally Add to My Profile | More Videos Monica L is a Swedish R&B/Pop/Soul singer and songwriter. Monica was born in the north of Sweden, and at a very early age acquired a love for singing. At age 11, the Swedish songstress wrote her first song “Varfor “, and made her first appearance in a local talent show. Growing up, Whitney Houston was Monica’s musical inspiration. Shortly after relocating to Stockholm, Monica entered a huge talent/sing-and look a like show “Sikta Mot Stjarnorna” which aired on national television. She became the “Swedish Whitney Houston”. The compilation album sold platinum in Sweden, and doors of opportunity quickly opened up for the Swedish bombshell. During the summer 2006, Monica relocated to the United States with the dream of releasing an album, and becoming a successful mainstream Pop/R&B artist. Monica has already done several live performances, from Open Mic's in NYC at The Hammerstein Ballroom, to the 2006 NYC Urban Music Showcase, and 2006 NYC Latino Music Showcase. Be on the lookout for Monica L, a talented, versatile artist who undeniably has plenty to offer the music world!! Monica's single "All I Ever Asked" was spinning on "Whats Hot Radio Show" last summer. She was recently a live guest in the studio wtih the host Mr R on What's Hot Radio Show, which now also is video broadcast. Her new songs "Perfect Love", "Undefeatable" and "It'll Be You" are now all spinning on the show as well. Monica recently graduated from the Audio Recording and Production program at IAR (Institute of Audio Research)!
