| Biography NicoNote aka Nicoletta Magalotti - is an eclectic and versatile artist who pursues a personal vocal and expressive research in the fields of Music and Theatre. Between 1985 and 1988 NicoNote was the singer of the band Violet Eves- www.myspace.com/violeteves - defined as an important experience of the Italian new indie scene. After Violet Eves - NicoNote continues her career as a solo singer on the Italian rock-pop scene (CGD - Union - 1990; EMI - Nicoletta Magalotti: Nico - 1992) also collaborating with various musicians, including Teresa De Sio and Litfiba/Piero Pelù .Within her theatre experiences there is the work with Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio directed by Romeo Castellucci - Orestea (Tournee in Europe, Canada, Brasil , Argentina) and Voyage au bout de la nuit (Tournee in Italy, France, Portugal, Belgique, Denmark, Germany , Switzerland ) - www.raffaellosanzio.orgFrom 1994to 2007 NicoNote collaborated with one of the most important italian club Cocoricò, as dj and live p.a. and mostly directing the ambient room called Morphine, the first of its kind in Italy- www.cocorico.itNicoNote in 2003 presented a project of "sound dramaturgy" (mixing electronic worlds and acoustic worlds), produced in collaboration with the m.a.s. collective dj group, entitled Règola a concert for Hildegard von Bingen. Together with m.a.s. collective she also started work on the Dippy site project, releasing a house track called Panorama astratto (softly changing) for the Mo-Do label. Released in 2003, by KomFutManifesto rec, Fashion Victims is the first album of AND:an artistic and musical project between NicoNote and composer and producer Andrea Felli - www.myspace.com/andtheproject distribution: www.thebigcatalogue.com. In 2002 she presented the performance "Private Space" and in 2005 she produced "Fever 103°" dedicated to the american poet Sylvia Plath. She worked on many other theatrical frames for example with Elisabetta Pozzi on the egyptian singer Oum Kalthoum , and with Annamaria Gurnieri on the lyrics of Paolo Volponi. In 2006 she produced "Porpora una suite barocca" a spectacle about the italian baroc painter Guido Cagnacci - directed by Francesco Micheli with subject and dramaturgy by Luca Scarlini. In 2005 she released Cocmic Uomo records - with 2 productors and djs: Limo &Buck , Slick Station feat NicoNote www.myspace.com/slickstationIn 2006 she starts creating "Effetto Doppler events in the Museum" for Rimini and his territory, inviting many interesting artists of many fields of art .www.effettodoppler.net She's making readings for children called "The tales' corner" in children festivals.In 2006 she began the collaboration with the french director and phylosph Patricia Allio www.exorage-group.com - performing "Life is but a dream" about Blood and guts in highschool of Kathy Acker. The first step was presented in Paris at Fondation Cartier , in january 2007. After the work which tourned in Montreal , Paris ,Santarcangelo and it evolved in the final creation "Le Sang Des Reves" - produced by TNB Rennes and presented in Italy and Belgium. In 2008 she worked in La Sirenetta Rock Opera , with director Francesco Micheli , produced by Pomeriggi Musicali Teatro Dal Verme in Milan.Now she is still working and preparing her new project of MusicTheatre, with the french composer and musician Mikael Plunian, and the dramaturgy of Luca Scarlini . She will perform and sing in english, italian , latin, german , french- The play will be entitled : Rhapsody(o alfabeto in sogno) inspired on "The poem of sound" of the russian simbolistic poet Andrej Balejy - about the power of the words and language. Opening : 26th, 27th of september 2008 in Milano at Teatro dell'Elfo produced by Festival MilanoOltre. www.niconote.net Live dj set NicoNote live dj set Live Set for vinyl, cd's and voice by NicoNote. A non-conventional kind of event. NicoNote presents music - including live songs from her productions - following the mood of the moment.
