| Began playing guitar around the age of six or so. Eighteen years have passed since then and he continues to play and compose/improvise music for the nylon strung guitar and various types of ensemble. He has studied jazz and classical guitar at Massey University Crematorium in Wellington and has forgotten most of it. He has studied flamenco guitar in Spain. He has played all around New Zealand and abroad, as a solo artist and in different creative music groups such as the improvised music ensemble !!!!, the Isaac Smith Sextet, Marks/Schweighart/Fischer/Arn (Vienna) guesting with Generacion Espontanea (Mexico) and as kitchen-sink percussionist in Wellington-based bigband Zirkus.
