| Josh Ayala aka. Joshua, as he is known in Dominican Republic where he was born, is a dj/producer/live act performer. He began to play in 2001 in the most important bars and clubs in the island, sharing booth with recognized international djs, and hasn’t stopped ever since. He is classified as one of the best in the electronic movement in the island but his passion for the world of Sound and the non-stop growing clubbing scene in Spain brought him to Barcelona in 2005 to study Sound Engineer in SAE Institute. Josh has played in several countries like Venezuela, Miami (during the WMC 2005), Andorra and now in Barcelona. Here is where his LIVE and producing stage begins.His indefinable and contagious style is a mixture of happy minimal-electro-tech-house tunes with deep basslines and cool fresh minimal sounds that flow with a funky kick. For Josh, it’s all about the dancing, the groove, and the swing. You can find him playing his unique contagious sound in the best locals in town and in summertime at Mochima Beach Bar in Playa Marbella where he shares residency with Francesco Mennillo, co-founder of LEICHTKlang Recordings. In Santo Domingo, he belongs to the Co Plan collective and Orbital Bookings. Also, he is the main artist of the event planning + promoting agency moontripp’ bcn.In 2006, he began his producing career, entering the Netlabel Soundworks where his track ManGood hit the first reference successfully and with whom he is working actively presenting his dj sets and live act performances in the best electronic clubs in the city.His second digital reference was with the label Minimar Recordings from London, and the tracks were Mica y Agua de Coco, in the Minimar 04 series.His latest proyect is the creation of his own personal label LEICHTklang Recordings with dj/producer Francesco Mennillo. This label was born in November 2007 and Josh was the one in charge of the first reference “Los Pisos EP”, with 3 successful tracks, that hit the top 100 minimal chart in Beatport.At this moment, another LEICHTklang EP release called “Mi Pequeño Atico” is on its way and also the “k Lesson” track, both by Josh, will be out by Funkatron’s Seta Label.
