Music:It's everywhere, but it's not Classic Rock. It is not necessary for me to ever hear Bad Moon Rising ever again. Some artists that I treasure are (in no particular order) English Beat, anything by the Police, Madonna Ray of light, k-os, Kanye, Kenny Rogers - Greatest Hits (crazy, I know!), U2, The Hip, Luda, Eminem (esp. the Slim Shady LP), Bare Naked Ladies (Gordon only), Great Big Sea, Jamiroquai, Jimi Hendrix, Definately Zepplin (Classic Rock, go figure). Joe Jackson. the Ramones,Amadeus Sountrack, Beau Domage, Tiesto, Sven Vath almost put me in the ER (gotta love that angry techno), IM, of course, once I hit the electronic music I'm a little foggy... but let's just say that my first night at Sona back in 1997 changed me forever and I still identify myself as a raver first. And Santana. And Lyle Lovett. Ah, Lyle, he and I have sung our hearts out together. Currently I'm loving (still great for dancing) and hating JT )and Akon (enough already and it's only April still).These have all made part of who I am (but not exclusively!). many more to come! |

Television:I'm so not into TV these days. I still love the Hour but never stay up for it. George is still hot, but I don't know... my crush has waned. Sorry George. Rescue Me, Daily Planet (is that still on?), Family Guy... no great discoveries from me! I should mention I have a complete aversion to all reality shows and variety shows and cannot watch them. I'm mortified for these people! Even the nice shows, like Complete Home Make-Over, I'm just wierded out seeing their lives. |

Books:Books?! I can't focus that long, I've got 2 kids. I like Irish and British trashy novels a la Brigitte Jone's Diary. Perfect mindless read and romp. I admit, I love the tabloids but it depends on who's up front. But, for my critical and analytical side, I chose Vanity Fair. Once upon a time, I was quite scholarly with all those text books, modern litt. and highlighters! Now, well, the internet keeps me reading! |
