The founding members Alex and Kevin had the idea of maggot shoes in summer 1993. The plan was to create a band in order to give the word grindcore a new definition. Realising such a crazy project was not possible without any further support. Thats why they asked Stephan (g) and Sven (dr) to join them. After spending some hard nights with rehearsing, MAGGOT SHOES played their debut gig at the Veilsdorf-Open Air. In december 1995 it was the first time to record the first tracks and the result was amazing: the demotape "natural born pussy" and the split-7inch "another n.b.p" with ANAL MASSAKER is resounded throughout the land even today. After these releases the first line-up changes occured: the new drummer became Oliver (ex-4 WHAT WE ARE), but he left the band a few gigs later and the third choice was Christoph (ex-SILENCE OF THOUGHTS). MAGGOT SHOES was a well-rehearsed team again as they spent their energy in writing new songs, and with Marc (voc) joining the band as singer, it was time to enter the studio the second time. The next release was called "enjoy/life" in the form of a demotape first and later also burned on CD. Two songs were put on the second split-7inch "smile honey baby" with german grinders DEPRESSION. But the good mood of the band has been embittered in Summer 1999 as Marc and Stephan told the band that they will leave MAGGOT SHOES. After a long search for an appropriate alternative MAGGOT SHOES finally met Marcel (voc) and they decided to grind the world as a team of four from now on. The first output in the new shape of MAGGOT SHOES was the split-7inch "morbid erotic" (with the austrians MONOLITH) and a live split-tape with INHUMATE from France. There were also a couple of songs added to several compilations and at least the awesome split-EP "F.F. Roy" with EMBALMING THEATRE from Switzerland. After playing lots of gigs allover Europe with any kind of bands (INHUMATE, TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION, IMMURED, FORCED TO DECAY, DEAD, VADER, DRITTE WAHL, FLESHCRAWL, etc.) the new longplayer "a shoe full of maggots" has been released in march 2006.
