The name of the band means “binoculars” and refers to the “Coke bottle” eyeglasses that David, the singer, wore when he was a kid, but also serves to describe a very strong mix of naïve pop and noise. Et elle avait raison. Here Comes, le nouvel hymne des Binoculars, est une formidable chanson qui débute très pop, puis part sur la fin vers d'autres territoires, comme la noisy-pop fièvreuse (un peu à la Feelies). C'est furieusement addictif (ah ces choeurs qui s'entrecroisent !), et ca passe en boucle chez nous. After working overtime they saved up to buy musical instruments and looked for a drummer. One day, completely by coincidence, their shift manager at the slaughterhouse, Thierry, turned up after seeing an advert in a drum shop.
