Dream...Of A Beautiful World When The Angels..... When the angels came that one cool night as I was sleeping. When the angels came I awoke suddenly and found them standing in my doorway looking at me watching over me, bathed in a brilliant light so bright and white but yet it did not blind me They said not a word to me but gestured slowly pointing to the heavens, bidding me to look And there before my eyes I saw the people All the people everywhere, moving in fast motion Doing all the things people do while the scene played faster and faster before my eyes. Scenes of life, love, chaos....of destruction. All the while the angels were mumbling I could not understand what they were saying Although I strained to hear. Just soft spoken syllables too low and fast to make out. And still I watched. It overwhelmed me and, as I asked them to slow down, it all came to an abrupt end. It was over and the angels receded. I sat alone in the dark wide awake, my mind racing. All those scenes, snippets of life. Some I recognize already. They have come to pass. And I realize that the angels were never speaking to me. The images placed before me said it all. Finally I understand after all this time. The angels never spoke to me. They were praying.
