From 1992 to late 1993, he moved to Geneva, Switzerland where he became resident DJ in the country’s trendiest club. Stan then headed to Perpignan, South of France, to open up a club with an old friend. Thanks to his avant-garde style and flair, Stan’s club rapidly became a highly-fashionable, bustling venue—initiating a buzz from France to Spain. In 1995, Stan released his first maxi. He then embarked on another adventure, one where he launched his first record label, distributed by a major company, which made him the youngest record label owner of all time… Throughout his performances in French and Swiss clubs, Stan actually nurtured a desire to export his talents to New York. He did so in 1996…records in hand, Stan had one and only dream: play in an authentic New York City club… Stan offered his musical services to countless clubs, until one let him warm up one of the largest dance floors in the city. He played for 2 hours. “I didn’t know when I was playing that I was actually opening for Todd Terry,” remembers Stan. And Mr. Terry congratulated him for his outstanding skills… As a result, Stan’s disco style, mixed with vocal house, charmed the owner of the club who booked him repeatedly. It didn’t take long for Stan to start playing in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Strait, Miami, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City… but his soul mostly remained rooted in NY… Stan has been producing and remixing for more than 10 years, making him a leading artist among his peers. He travels the world (Spain, Mexico, Switzerland, Russia, Portugal, Greece, Brazil, Santo Domingo, and more) to share turntables with the greatest DJs: Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Victor Simmoneli, Dave Camacho, Martin Solveig, DJ Gregory, Claude Monnet, Copyright, Junior Jack & Kid Creme, Simon Dunmore, Yass , Jamie Lewis and many more. His titles Decontamination, All Right, Forever a Supa Jama, I'm Back and Spicy Disco Music have become steady references in clubs worldwide. Today, Stan’s work stretches from his own bookings to touring with the artists he produces and different other productions. Stay tuned for Stan Courtois’ upcoming releases in the fall 2007…the first album is coming...--------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------Stan commence sa carrière de dj en 1990, il officie dans différents clubs de l’hexagone jusqu’en 1992, la il s’éxile a Genève pour y jouer dans les clubs les plus hype jusqu'à fin 93, la il décide de partir sur perpignan pour ouvrir un club avec un de ces amis, à l’époque il joue dejà un style très avant-gardiste… ce club devient très vite un endroit culte, toute la frontière espagnole fait la queue pour y rentrer… En 95, Stan Courtois sort son premier maxi… le début d’une grande aventure… fin 95, il monte son premier label distribue par une major compagnie, ce qui fait de lui le plus jeune propriétaire d’un label distribué par une multi-national… Il continu d’écumer les clubs de France et de suisse jusqu'à septembre 96, ou il décide de partir sur New York avec des disque sous le bras, avec pour seul objectif… jouer dans un club a NY, son rêve… A peine arriver il va se ruer dans les clubs pour proposer ces services, on lui propose de faire un warm up au System gros club a la mode en cette année, il joue pendant 2h et a sa grande surprise TODD TERRY arrive et le félicite pour son set… en faite il faisait le son warm up… Tout s’est bien passé, son style très disco et vocale charme le promoteur, qu'il lui rebook une soirée pour le samedi qui suit … c’est le début d’une grande histoire en NY et stan , ensuite il a enchaine les dates , LOS ANGELES, SAN FRANCISCO, CHICAGO, DETROIT, ATLANTIC CITY… mais NY reste sa ville ou il s’exprime régulièrement… Depuis prêt de 10 Stan Courtois produit et remix a tour de bras faisant de lui une référence dans le monde très sérré du monde de la musique, Il voyage à travers le monde (Espagne, Mexique, Suisse, Russie, Portugal, Grèce, Brésil, St domingue, etc..) pour partager des scènes avec de nombreux dj de référence… ROGER SANCHEZ, DAVID MORALES, VICTOR SIMMONELI, DAVE CAMACHO, MARTIN SOLVEIG, DJ GREGORY, CLAUDE MONNET, COPYRIGHT, JUNIOR JACK & KID CREME, SIMON DUNMORE, YASS, JAMIE LEWIS etc… Aujourd’hui il partage sa vie entre les bookings, les tournées avec ces artistes et les productions, différentes productions sont à venir en 2007 sur ces différents labels…Son album se prépare...
