BIO:

Peter Ries from Wiesbaden, Germany is one of Europes most experienced producers and songwriters. His contribution to the latest *N SYNC album (as a songwriter and producer), as well as his successful production of Canadian dance-act LOVE INC. and KRISTINE W. are beginning to gain him the well-deserved international acclaim. In 2001, Peter Ries produced five tracks on the triple platinum debut album Ellements by newcomer girl group NO ANGELS, for which he also wrote two songs. As a writer and producer, he just earned another gold award for the NO ANGELS track When The Angels Sing.

Looking back at more than 20 years of experience in the music business, Peter started his career in the early 80s with successful songwriting projects for a variety of artists such as Sally Oldfield, Sandra and Stan Bush. For just as long, Peter has been working with producer Michael Cretu (Enigma and Sandra), with whom Peter had been on tour in Europe for several years. For Sandra, he also worked as a songwriter and remixer.

Peters successful collaboration with U.S. singer Paris Red was the beginning of important contacts in the USA and Canada. It was in Canada where Peter had his first ..1 hit in the dance charts, honored with the respected Juno Award. The Juno Award was presented to him three times in the category Best Dance Recording (1998, 1999 and 2001). His current success in Europe with NO ANGELS is yet another milestone in his lively career.

Hardly any other producer and songwriter in Germany can refer to such a wide variety of styles in his work. Musically speaking, Peter Ries keeps a fine balance between melody-driven pop songs, R&B and HipHop. He mixes these styles cleverly with other musical influences like Jazz, Classical and Electronica.

As a foundation for the years to come, Peter Ries and his partners in Europe and the USA established a solid music network, which has already led to more exciting projects. In addition, Peter is constantly expanding his catalogue of songs.

Together with his longtime business partner and friend Reinhard Besser, Peter Ries is running his own company FM Production, as well as FMM Musicpublishing. Recently theyve established their first business in the USA: department-2-production in New York.
