IN SEPTEMBER, MARTY'S OLDEST DAUGHTER, CAMBRIA, WILL HAVE HER FIRST BABY, MAKING MARTY A GRANDPA AND ME A STEP-GRANDMA.....SHHH! REBECCA AND KURTIS ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO BECOMING AUNT AND UNCLE AND MY MIRIAH AND MIKAELA CAN'T WAIT TO ENJOY A NEW BABY TO TAKE CARE OF!!! WITH SUMMER HERE, WE ARE LOVING OUR POOL AND I AM FINDING THAT A YARD CAN ACTUALLY BE FUN TO WORK IN. I HAVE KILLED A FEW FLOWERS, BUT AM DETERMINED TO KEEP THE REST ALIVE. MARTY LOVES HIS SHOP, AND I AM TRYING TO LOVE THAT HE LOVES IT--HA HA I LIKE HELPING HIM SOMETIMES, WHEN HE NEEDS AN EXTRA HAND AND WHEN I AM BORED. MARTY AND THE KIDS HAD HIM BEFORE I CAME INTO THE PICTURE AND LET ME TELL YA, IT TOOK QUITE SOMETIME TO WIN THAT MONSTERS HEART. HIS INTIMIDATING WAYS MADE IT HARD TO BEFRIEND HIM, BUT ONE EVENING AS I WALKED BACK TO START SOME LAUNDRY, I HEARD A QUIET LITTLE GROWL COMING FROM THE BACK DOOR WHERE STOOD ZEUZ, LOOKING IN AT ME. WITH A STERN VOICE I TOLD HIM NOT TO GROWL AT ME AND AS HE STARED AT ME WITH THOSE "I WANT TO EAT YOU UP" EYES, I STARED BACK WITH MY "JUST TRY IT" EYES. AFTER ABOUT WHAT SEEMED 5 MINUTES, BUT PROBABLY NOT THAT LONG, ZEUZ SLOWLY BEGAN TURNING AWAY KEEPING HIS EYES ON ME UNTIL NO LONGER ABLE TO SEE, AND THEN HE WALKED AWAY. "THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT, ZEUZ." I SAID , AS IF I WON A FIGHT. FROM THEN ON, HIM AND I ARE BUDDIES AND HE EVEN LOVES ME SO MUCH IT IS ANNOYING....NOT REALLY, I JUST ACT LIKE IT SOMETIMES TO KEEP HIM BEGGING FOR MORE!!! SO EASY TO DO WITH A MALE....SO EASY. WE ALSO HAVE A CAT, DAMIEN, RENAMED, BUBBA, BY MIKKI. HIM AND HIS SISTER, ANGEL, WERE GIVEN TO US FROM CAMI, BECCA, AND KURT. A CAT IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD HAD THEM IN SEPTEMBER OF 2007. DAMIEN NEVER BACKED DOWN FROM ZEUZ AS HE TRIED TO THROW PUNCHES THROUGH THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR. ZEUZ WANTED HIM BAD, BUT SURPRISINGLY, THE TWO ARE FRIENDS. ZEUZ HAD MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO ATTACK, BUT HAS LEARNED THAT HE IS ONE OF US, SO THE NATURAL INSTINCT IS AN EXCEPTION FOR DAMIEN WHO TAKES ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION NOW AND THEN, SMACKING ZEUZ WITH A LEFT-RIGHT SWAT! WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT? ANGEL IS A MOMMY NOW...BY DAMIEN. THAT'S WHY HE IS OUTSIDE, BUT IT DOESN'T STOP THEM FROM VISITING EACHOTHER FROM TIME TO TIME, THROUGH THE SCREEN DOOR.
